True Beauty
Easily one of the best comedy romance dramas of 2020! Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, True Beauty follows the life of Im Joo Kyung (Moon Ga Young) who has been bullied all her life for being ‘ugly’, She ends up moving to a new school where she finds the power of makeup and completely transforms herself to being one of the prettiest in school. Everyday is wild ride for Im Joo Kyung, between keeping up with the ‘pretty’ facade and also being put in the middle between two of the most popular boys in school!
Five enough
If you’re looking for a heartwarming family drama, look no further! Five Enough tells the story of the remarriage of Sang Tae (a widow) who has two kids and Min Jung (a divorcee) who has 3 kids and the combining of the families (which includes Sang Taes ex in laws!). Follow their journey as they try to become a close family as well the the fan favorite romances thats within the drama. KBS also offers five enough on youtube for free thats so thats also an added bonus!
Whats wrong with secrety Kim
Whats wrong with secretary Kim is an office romance drama about Lee Yeong Joon, a self absorbed vice president of his family owned company and his secretary Kim Mi So. Being pushed to her limits, Kim Mi So finally quits after working for nine years for Lee Yeong Joon. Now Lee yeong joon has to do everything in his power to get Kim Mi So to work as his secretary again and in the process also fall in love.
Warm and cozy
After losing her house,job and boyfriend in one setting, Lee Jung Joo decides to start fresh and move to Jeju Island. There she meets Baek Gun Woo, the owner of a restaurant called warm and cozy ,who is from a wealthy family. After some bickering the two start to fall in love. Recommended if you’re looking for a light and cozy drama to watch!
Cinderella and the four knight
Who doesn’t love a modern Cinderella tale! Eun Ha-Won (Park So-Dam) is badly mistreated by her step-mother and step-sister, still in high school she works various odd jobs to save up for college to fulfill her late mothers wish for her to become a teacher.She also has to pay for the storage of her mothers ashes.
She suddenly meets a old man who happens to be a billionaire. He has three grandsons who live in the Sky House, he assigns her a job to work at the Sky house as a live in butler to his three grandsons with the task to bring them closer together.
Eun Ha-Won life slowly starts to turn around and the three grandsons start to fall for her, while she falls for one of them.
The Heirs
A must watch classic in the Korean drama world! Follow the lives of the young and rich high school students who are heirs to large conglomerates. Kim Tan (Lee Min Ho) is the heir to a large conglomerate, he is the illegitimate son of his father and his mistress . His brother exiled him to the U.S with fears that he might take the family business.
Cha Eun-Sang (Park Shin-Hye) is an ordinary girl with a poor background. Her mother is mute and works as a maid for Kim Tans mother. One day Cha Eun Sang goes to the United States to look for her sister, she meets Kim Tan by chance and leaves an quite an impression on him.He later goes back to Korea with her in his mind and is surprised to find that Cha Eun Sang lives in his house with her mother and is attending the same highschool as him.
The two fall for each other while Cha Eun Sang has to get used to living in the world of the rich.
She was pretty
Based on a true story! This romantic comedy is about two childhood best friends Kim Hye Jin and Ji sung joon. Kim Hye Jin was born in a well to do family,she was a popular kid that was known for her beauty.While Ji sung hoon is the unpopular chubby kid that moved to Kim hye jins neighborhood, Kim hye jin is the only person to befriend him.
After not seeing each other for 15 years, the appearance of Kim hye jin and jisung hoon is now the complete opposite. Kim Hye jin in no longer the pretty girl she used to be and her fathers company has gone bankrupt. She eventually gets to be an intern at a fashion magazine where Ji sun hoon also ( who is now attractive) works as an editor.
Goblin
A classic that has to be mentioned!
Kim Shin (played by Goong Yoo) is an immortal goblin that has lived for over 900 years, he currently lives in the same house as the Grim Reaper (played by Lee Dong Wook) . In order to end his immortal life he has been waiting for his human bride who will help him do so. Ji Eun Tak (Kim Go Eun) is a cheerful high school student who has the ability to see and talk to ghosts, after her mother dies she has to live with her aunts family who mistreats her. On her birthday she mistakenly summons the goblin, drawn to each other by fate they gradually start to fall in love.
