I’m sure you’ve heard people rave about rosehip oil at some point or another, it’s easily one of the most popular oils out there! Here’s a little bit more on rosehip oil and its benefits!

Rosehip oil comes from the seed of the fruits from the wild rose bush, it is generally extracted through the cold press method, which means the seeds are mechanically pressed until the oil is extracted from it. This is one of the best methods for the rosehip to be extracted as most of the nutrients are kept compared to the other method where they use heat (heat press).
Whats In It
Rosehip seed oil is high in essential fatty acids, especially linoleic acid, which is great for building your skin barrier as well as brightening and making your skin glowy! A general myth that’s been going around, is that rosehip oil has vitamin c, which is false since vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin. It does, however, contain vitamin A (retinol) but unfortunately, it has a very little amount so that won’t really have any effect on the skin.

You can typically use rosehip oil morning and night depending on the type of skin you have. Rosehip oil is known to be a bit more on the drier side compared to other oils and while you might think its best to use in your last step as an occlusive, it actually works best when you use it before your moisturizer or even mixing a few drops of it in your moisturizer.
